Hydrostatic Pressure Testing

Nearly completed Pressure Vessel Structure. (Fore and Aft Bulkheads are welded to Cylinder along with the Conning Tower. Internal Ring Stiffeners do not show.)
Scale model built for in-house pressure testing to establish hull collapse depth. The actual DELTA was small enough to placed in a special tank that could be hydrostatically pressurized. The DELTA is designed not to go deeper than 1,200 foot, but to ensure safety was proof tested in this tank to the pressure levels that would be encountered 1,700 feet below the oceans surface.
